I now shop here for all my ammo needs.
http://gunbot.net/ammo/rifle/
Its basically an ammo search engine and it tracks hundreds of retailers online for the best prices.

Steel case ammo will wear out the extractor and the coating on it will gum up your rifle. Unless you like malfunctions.

Walmart is often cheapest around here, but local dealers will have sales from time to time that beat them. ($0.41/rnd or less for brass 223/556)

?????????????? Lolol

Steel cased ammo only goes in my cheaper guns (ARs). There is no coating on any that I have bought but the bullet itself has components in it that are known to advance the wear on a barrel but only after about 10,000 rounds. I can justify a $250 barrel to save some cash on bullets. I have a custom built AR that has a $500 barrel on it and its tolerances are so tight it wont even feed steel cased ammo.
And I wont set foot in a wal mart unless I need to take a shit.
