![]() Welp...not very happy or impressed anymore with BioFuels Technologies!
This is the complete opposite of my opinion before...their communication was excellent and provided TONS of help...however, after the sale...not so much? I received an email on 9/9 from Karl stating that it was ready to ship and would go out once they received my check for the remainder of payment...I had already mailed the payment and they should have had it by that Friday...talked with Karl and he said it had not arrived yet...that is fine because that means it would definitely go out the following Friday...right? I call back on Monday, no check...Tuesday call, Karl received the check and cashed it...awesome! Karl lets me know it would ship out that Friday. I think the Friday thing kinda sucks, but it is what it is...I started emailing and calling this week to hopefully get a tracking number...in theory it should be here Wednesday or Thursday...the phone lines are quiet...emails were avoided on Monday...Tuesday I get an email about "liking" their page on Facebook...I write back that I already do and would love to know status on my order...Roy replies...he lets me know that it did NOT ship and would hopefully go out this Friday...this all sucks because Patrick (lancaster, pa) was planning to drive over and help me with the install...then next weekend i was hoping to drive it home on WVO to my trip from Philly to Indy...this is 1200 miles that I will be paying for fuel...I asked why it wasn't ready if Karl said it would...Roy said the electronics module wasn't ready...I let him know that I already have the tank, and if he could just ship the rest of the unit (hoses/fittings/etc.) then we could at least get the bulk of the install done and then I could hook up the electronics module next week when i get it...This was on Tuesday...no replies since...I have emailed and called Tuesday and yesterday...I get that there is a Friday shipping policy, but I feel like if you mess something up then maybe you can work with me a tad...or at least reply and let me know that...or ship separately!? just sucks...i had a great impression...now i am not so sure...even now, it is thursday...they could ship it today and I could have some part by Saturday to make it a productive day...would be pushing it, but Tuesday or Wednesday definitely would have happened...

![]() I understand that every customer is anxious to get this process started, but let's bring about a dose of reality with "the other side of the story."
We quote 3-4 weeks of BUILD TIME for the kit during the sales process. It takes me 3-4 weeks to crank out a series of kits... some weeks I work on manifolds... some weeks I work on wiring harnesses... some weeks I work on electronics modules... but the rotations I go through are repeated with every single cycle. Your order came in on AUGUST 26th. You have an assumption that "your kit is sitting in a box" and I'm holding it hostage somehow. Currently, your kit is sitting as separate bagged components waiting to be packaged up... right along with two other kit orders that came in around the same time yours did. When I complete the electronics modules today/tomorrow for these three kits in the queue, I'll then run through my packing checklists, package up the kits with all of their components and get them out the door. For our deposit process (to trim the $100 off the purchase price by working outside the credit card transactions), we try to time everything so that the INVOICE/BILLING/CHECK ARRIVAL/CHECK CLEARING process all work out so that when the check CLEARS, the kit is ready to ship. Whatever timing process was run through went a week early for your kit. I'm sorry... it shouldn't have happened. But it doesn't change the fact that your kit wasn't ready to go. You have called/emailed multiple times... asking if your kit can be sent out early. We've given you the same answers... I can't help the fact that the answers you have gotten are ones that you don't like... but your kit is not yet ready. I don't have anything more to offer you. It will go out this Friday... Perhaps more dangerous however, is that you've drawn a line in the sand for a long trip you want to take later this month... so you've pre-determined "failure" to be that the kit probably won't arrive in time for this journey. As a side note: I highly recommend that you DO NOT use this "long journey" for your maiden voyage. After your installation, you've got a few miles of "shake down" time that you'll need to get familiar with your truck, your grease, and your kit. I'm sure I am not alone when I suggest that you don't subject your family to this "shake down time". Far better to be scratching your head over a simple plugged filter while in your driveway (because you don't recognize the symptoms yet), rather than having your family sitting with you at a rest area while you try and figure it all out. This process is a marathon... not a sprint. Your "payoff" doesn't come in short term, it comes over a longer period. Lastly (and probably arrogantly on my end)... you're biting the hand that feeds you if you want to air your frustration on a public forum... paid for by BFT and provided for BFT customers... I understand you're anxious to get started... but no one is cheating you or trying to steal from you... and the only thing that is the enemy here is TIME). Jay

Sounds like you would be in a hurry to get it up and going, which in my case would end up in cutting corners just to get it working. Not something you should do here.

![]() This could have been handled very differently. Bad form.
![]() The end result is the same for you, but in the process you are pissing off the people that will ultimately be helping you... for free, on their own time, out of the goodness of their heart. It's a bit of a brotherhood around here, and you might want to think about your place in that long term. Hope it felt good to get that all off your chest, that is the only positive I can see in this post.

![]() Just reading everything in the thread.... his "assumption" that it was sitting in a box ready to ship seems pretty justified if he had an email telling him it was ready to ship, no?
No skin off my back either way, just reading the posts provided here... With that said, I know it sucks waiting for this stuff, but you'll be all smiles when you see that green light for the first time, and this will be nothing more than a memory.
