Default New Mounting for Pumps

Finally there is an update for the pump mountings. We no longer use the "sandwich" plate design. We have found that if it is not torqued exactly right, and in some cases over a period of time the endbell of the pump gets pushed into the motor housing and causes extra load on the pump causing them to burn themselves out. Besides being a pain to work on. Starting about a month ago ALL pumps new or old going out have the new mounting design. Which is pretty basic really. The corners of the pump have been drilled out and the base of the pump now bolts directly the the manifold. The prevents any possibility of motor binding from "crushing", and in practical application is MUCH MUCH easier to service on the vehicle. Also being included is an extra gasket so that there are two or three gaskets bewtween the wear plate and the manifold. This acts as an insulator and has helped to decrease the operating temp of the pump. So between these two changes we have seen dramatically more robust pumps and longer life.

Anyone who would like this update, simply send us your pump with a letter, and we will get it done and sent back out. And Test your pump in the process and alert you to any current or pending problems. Cheers!

I purchased a kit and installed it about 6 months ago or so. I would like to know how long it would take for me to get pump back, after retrofit, if I were to pay for overnight or what ever. I can't be without this vehicle for very long, so please return reply asap...Thank You! reddogg3
