Default Newbie from Denver

Hi all,

My name's Pete. I have a '99 F350 that I'm getting ready to put a BFT system on. There's a V3 system for sale on Denver craigslist that I'm considering. Any major advantages of the V4 over the V3 I should know about? Also, any general advice for a new guy would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Pete

There is absolutely no advantage to a v4 over a v3. The v4 was simply designed to be used on ford or dodge to eliminate production cost of 2 separate units

My best advice is have solid sources set up. Make sure you can get oil.

The V4 has an extra heating path inside the manifold vs the V3. The V4 also likely has the solid state brain vs turbo timer cards for control.

I live in Bennett and am about ready to get a system myself. Just looking for more sources of oil. Will be getting a centrifuge setup for cleaning mine.

Nice. We'll have to meet up sometime. I'm finally doing my install this weekend. Have you had any luck finding sources?
