absolutely!! Don't have it on my now but will get it.

Thanks for the support. Yep, I did have a chance to spend some good family time, and get most of my affairs in order before leaving to help make life easier on my wife.

So here I am starting my 2nd day in Djibouti. The "surge" accomodations are lousy to say the least. There are about 60 of us staying in a tent in some pretty flimsy bunks with no storage at all. Not even any chairs to sit in. The showers and bathrooms are community bathrooms in a seperate building. But the best is that I am glad I got here after the heat of the Summer. At 9am this morning it had "only" reached 110 out. Should level off at about 120 or so. I guess during the heat of the Summer it gets to be 130+ everyday. Later on today I will find out what my Job will be while I am here in what is affectionately called "The Draft" We all get lined up in a room and assigned accordingly based on what our education and experiance best match. Not all jobs are created equal from what I hear.

Did you know that Djibouti apparently is home to 6 of the 7 deadliest snakes in africa? Scorpian sightings are not uncommon either. That would be kind of neat to see though. Also there are some volunteer oppurtunities at the local cheetah refuge.
