Jason,
Time to add "design expert in WVO generator conversions" to the business card. You may need to get a larger card printed.
BTW- How would a Lister work as a power souce, are they condusive to WVO?

The shop I was in for the last 2 winters had a WMO furnace. They work great. We had a hard time finding enough oil - in spite of $25 oil changes just to collect oil.

Hahaha, I'm an expert at everything in my fantasies! I'd be satisfied if I was just good at SOMETHING!!

I understand the Lister-type engine is forgiving to VO, but IIRC maintenance is much higher if it is not operated under load. I suppose you could put one in a sound-deadened building or something, but listening to one of those things for hours on end could be worse than the Apocalypse!

I have a Redstone single cylinder with two huge flywheels. Water cooled, and noisy as hell. Have the exhaust on a muffler and pointed straight up. I was told a hospital grade muffler would silence it more, but those mufflers are huge and expensive. It has two serpentine flywheels and belt to run the generator at 1800 rpm. The engine runs 1200 rpm.

Been sitting in my garage for 4 years. Was planning to run it on SVO to charge a planned Hybrid Battery/Solar system.

Still entertaining the project since the Utility is trying to screw those who are adding panels, or new installs.
