Default New old toy

Not veg related. But I went on a short trip to idaho a few days ago and pick up my 1st car. My dad and I did the restoration on this car when I was 15. We ended up selling to a good friend who always loved the car. He recently passed due to brain and adrenal gland cancer. About 2 weeks before he passed he called us and offered the car back to us. I hate to get her back like this but I'm glad to have her back.

Let it rot in the garage next to the other one and the boat that may or may not float

She needs a little work. Get her road worthy again then who knows. Refinance the house to afford the Fuel

Slick Olds!!!
The W30 should make it fairly rare now days. They were pretty potent in their day and probably would raise some eyebrows today too.

Don't know the numbers off hand. There where 1800 made. 1st year for a 350 option. The 455 cars where many 380 or so. The rest where all 350 cars.

This one isn't stock. Iirc she was around 500 hp at the tires. Definitely a fun car for a fat girl

That is a beauty, and exciting you were able to get it back.
Sad about your friend passing, but every time you drive it now you can think about all the memories you had with both him and your dad.
If I am ever out that way I'd love to go for a ride!

Car looks great! I know my fifteen year old would love to have a car like that for his first. Sorry to hear how the car came back in your hands with your friends passing. Do you have any plans for it?

Bumping an old thread here

Plans are just to get her on the road. So far I found that oil psi issue was due to quite a bit of fuel in my crank case. She had a bad fuel pump diaphragm. My master cylinder was leaking and causing no front brakes. My carb is having some unresolved issues. Definitely needs to spend some time getting tuned and running right. Hopefully get some time thus winter to get her going
