Default Swap 6.0 to 7.3

Jason
Wht would a 7.3 swap cost for this beautiful truck. I could possibly use one of my trucks as a donor motor. This 550 is a bit over sized for what I want but she is sharp

Looks like it needs head gaskets and what else? There is a second fuel filler or something on drivers side rear fender?

This is a pipe dream question Since I am currently getting a new roof instead at the moment and won't have truck money for a while but it's a good question since I can't seem to find the 7.3 truck I am looking for and some of these newer 6.0 trucks look sharp and I bet they will go cheap if they need a new motor

Really I want a f350 crew cab manual trans 4x4 long bed srw but am really considering getting a drw since I have started working for someone that pulls heavy trailers often and something's could use an extra truck.

Donor truck I would use is a early 99 with 392,000 and probably would be useful for a bit of rebuild to know it's going to last. Probably would want a bit more fuel and bit more air if I can dream.

We can all dream...

Don't bother swapping the 6.0, just fix it and go Marc. I think you'd be looking around 10K for a swap... if you put that into the 6.0 it would be a monster!

Default The 6.0 scare me

I just know a couple guys that could have bought new trucks from the money they spent getting issues fixed. One guy needed head gaskets and then ended up getting a long block due to too much wear internally. I think he dropped $20,000. It's a 550 with a geoprobe drill rig mounted to it so he had to fix it. I lately have been even looking a the common rail 5.9s as an option. It's just my addiction to looking a Craigslist and online shopping. I think I need a new truck but first should just get my two fixed up a bit bit my crew cab is an automatic which doesn't work well in the mountain going down hill anyways. My 99 is a extra cab and my dogs don't fit. Sounds like first world problems
