Your room is available that timeframe, just not sure if I will be. Depends on when you hit STL. Helping Jack move to college then a biz trip to Chicago in that timeframe. LMK when you figure out your return plans. I have about 30 gals of VO at the house, my main stock is down south. You are welcome to it if it works out.

Jason , you also have a VO tdi ?
I have people asking me what type of car or truck is best for conversions.
Wondering if people on the forum could list they're favs from best to worst in their opion and experience. I only have the 7.3's and love them. Thanks in advance .
BTW , thanks for the advice the other night regarding turning my lastest 7.3 over by hand to "unlock" the hydrolock. felt like 6 of 8 locked. good workout in the stifling heat we've been experiencing. I also installed the veggie garage CV relocate kit while I replaced the injector o rings and glow plugs. Thanks to Dave ( Veggiegarage.com )too. I was able to leave fuel bowl in place and put in the check valves.
sorry to highjack, just started rambling.
I have lots of oil here for you. Only about 20 hours out of you're way!

Yes, I recently got an '03 TDi wagon with a modified greasecar system. These cars and pretty much any diesel with an injection pump are pretty simple to convert (although its often done poorly...). Apparently there are some compatibility issues with OE seals, etc - but if/when they leak, just upgrade to viton and you are good. The 7.3 PSD is by far the most forgiving engine ever made to run WVO...

Speaking of the vagon, the water pump is leaking (and I finally figured out where my slow coolant loss was coming from ). It's due for a timing belt anyway, but I don't think I can squeeze that project in before I leave for this trip - so I'm gonna take the dually! After all, it IS a FORD/7.3 PSD gtg.

You're welcome. I'm always happy to encourage a good workout!

I will get up there one of these days.

Please come by and visit the Oil Closet (my home garage) if you have a chance. I have plenty of clean oil and will donate 100 gals to the trip if you don't already have Mopar/greaseguy taking care of you. Let me know as you get closer what the plan is.
