Default installation manuel V3

I have a 97 F250 and had installed a system from Jason about 8 years ago. Since that time no problems until recent and had a bad switch. AzDave (think I got that right) helped me with a new switch. Since replacing the switch I am having problems with my diesel side of the system. Truck runs as if it is not getting fuel when the system switch is in middle position. At first when I moved it to engage the veg system it ran ok. Then all of a sudden it didn't run well there. We replaced another switch and looked at the wiring to make sure everything was ok. Still have a problem that is a little strange, in the mornings it runs rough almost as if it has veg oil in the injectors. Doesn't have a big issue starting though. After the truck warms up and changes to veg it runs well, I turn it over to diesel it runs well also. If any have had this issue or can offer advise I do appreciate it. If you have the installation manual I would appreciate that also.

All have a Merry Christmas. You can email at keykenbb@yahoo.com

Is this a V2 or V3 system?

Do you know what your fuel pressure is?

What fuel pump are you using on the diesel side? Is it turning on?

As far as rough-running in the AM, does the exhaust still smell like VO? Could be purge valve not working properly or even CV's allowing VO into the diesel tank or....

Not sure on the V2 or V3. Purchased and received the system in May of 2007. Not sure on the pump that was sent at that time.

A photo of your system would help us determine if it's a V2 or V3.

Pretty sure its gonna be a V2.

The V3 is a big chunk of aluminum with pump/filter/etc attached to it. V2 has individual components bolted to a blue plate.

Disconnect the small hose from solenoid valve and see if anything comes out here when you hit the manual purge switch. That valve is known to have a limited lifespan and it sounds like yours has had a good run.

Then V3. Does anyone still have a digital copy of the installation manual so I can run through the wiring?

I was going to be a wise ass and point you to the documentation online:

http://www.biofuelstechnologies.com/...d=56&Itemid=71

but then I realized that Jay took down the V3 documentation Maybe send him a note asking for it. Sadly, I didn't download a local copy because I always just grabbed it off his site.

So ur not getting d2 pressure? Can u hear the d2 pump when u turn the key, or feel if its running?
Could be pressure switch, if u have the jumper plug, try it. If it doesn't work, check under hood v3 harness relay. They get corroded and wont turn on d2 pump as well.
