Default Spring codes for f250 to Ex swap.

I have an opportunity of picking up a set of 04 f250 6.0 CC springs to transplant to the Ex. It's 1000 mile take offs that have been sitting in his garage.

Anyone know if all 04 f250s have V/B codes or are there different combo's?

He's on the other side of the island, and have a few days before I head over there.

I can crack macadamia nuts on my bump stops.

Thanks Jason.

I guess anything is better than the tired stock springs. Sold my boat Friday so I won't be able to feel the difference towing it with the Ex.

Got your hydrofoil Board ordered yet?

They are most likely either V-code or heavier. Not sure what all the codes were for F250 rear springs - but all should be higher than Excursion springs.

I'm gonna just sell everything I own up front - because I know I'll end up selling it all anyway so I can just ride that thing all the time.

Since I sold the boat my kids might want to try it. Just got to slide it under the wife's radar.

So I went to pick up the springs and they had 22210 on the front springs and the rear springs had yellow letters that I couldn't decipher. The rears also had a green dot on one of the leafs.

I found out the 22210 are Procomps and it'll lift my Ex about 4-5 inches.

I'm not sure of the rears. Springs have one flat, 4 arched, small block, and what looks to be an overload spring in that order.

Having issues with my pics. I'll post them later.

How rough will the ride be in the front?

I have to check the rears on my F350 whenever my son stops by. These rears look beefy.

Thanks

The procomp springs ride about like stock F250 - not too stiff. They are good for about 3" of lift on F250/350 - more like 5"+ higher than stock, saggy Excursion springs. You'll want at least 35" tall tires with those IMHO.

Did the PO have taller blocks with the rear springs so he sat level?

The PO said it kept his SD level. I checked my SD and they are the same rear springs. I didn't look at the SD and Ex blocks to see if there was a difference. I'll check it later this morning.

It's 3:15 am. here. Cats been teasing my dog. Cat lost one of it's nine lives this morning.

The X either doesn't have blocks or has short blocks. You can always play with blocks and swap leaves around to get your ride height dialed in. They come in 1" increments from 2" to a dozen inches tall. You can get new centering pins at autoparts if you want to make your leaf pack thicker. I use Precision Metal Fab for new u-bolts.

Hope you are getting some sleep!!!
