The main reason I never could do a pressurized fuge. What a nightmare.

Horrific, will require a complete empting of the shead to fix it. Why did we pick this hobby?

Brings back memories of when I spilled 70 or so gallons in my old garage, and had it running down the driveway.
I never run my OC50 over 80psi either.. I usually run it around 70, and usually it runs all night. Push-lok hoses and fittings.

I chose to spend a decent amount of money on a very nice band heater for the drum my fuge is mounted in. I had a cheapo one get stuck "wide open" and it got the oil up to 400 deg, and filled my garage with a cloud of fog that blinded me when it touched my eyes.

Yep, and that's exactly what happened. Amazing how much crap I have when it's spread all over the yard. Thankfully I didn't have 8 inches of snow at the time like I do now.

No where near my largest spill, only lost about 5 gallons. This is by far my most disastrous spill though. This is kind of on me though- I'm not in a position to be filtering oil, but did not want to throw away 275 gallons of 'free' oil so I quickly setup a Cheap Half-@55 filtering getup.

1. Too Cheap always ends badly
2. Getting in a hurry usually ends badly
3. Cleaning Beef Tallow in cold weather is much easier than filtering in cold weather.

Thats sucks. To be honest though, It made me chuckle a little.
Its nice to know I'm not the only one that has greased more that 30 sqft at once.

I got 2 areas that basically have oil absorbant as a permanent feature.

ADD is a real pain in the, oh look a butterfly.
