That would be pretty easy and cheap to fix......

Do you know or remember if it made you fail contribution tests?

seems like it would or could.....(<<<<< me thinking)

I just hope it not a bent CONNECTING ROD

Longstroke,
What can cause a push rod to bend all of a sudden? Did replacement completely cure the rough idle? - Patrick

I am not sure what causes the pushrods to bend.

I had a miss so I did a cyl contribution test and could tell #6 was missing some, pulled the valve cover to check the harness which looked good then the pushrods and found one was slightly bent. It's easy to test them by rolling it on a flat surface.

Believe me a bent pushrod will make a big difference how it idles.

Mine did not fail the contribution test but #6 did not sound like the rest of the cylinders if you know what I mean.

If it were a bent rod and you drove it much you would likely already have a nice little picture window in you block, I don't think she would last long. I know a fellow that bent one by hydro-locking it, lasted about 5 miles but I guess it depends on how severely it's bent also.
