I agree on the factory available truck.
There is however a company called POP that offers a conversion so maybe they are working with Ford.
I too will believe it when I see it.
Interesting idea though.

Cool

I'll definitely be interested in "looking" at 1 if its available... At least that's what I'll be telling the wife;0) .. I'd just hate to stroke the check for a new diesel ...

Can't see it happening. Too much EPA crap to work around, and it has to be an approved fuel

Good for us / Bad for us

We would no longer have to hide in the shadows but it would drive up the competition and cost for wvo. If this happens on the retail market level we are in for a ride.

Edit: Holy crap. After reading a bit about the POP diesel crew I'm not sure to be excited or scared. They have some heavy hitters on their team. If they push through the EPA we could be looking at wvo as a legit fuel for the road. We should all know the implications to this with uncle Sammy getting his share and our ability to source wvo.

It appears from their site they are into both conversions and supply of the fuel.
I see that as a bad sign for oil collection.
The small quantity mom and pop places may soon be the only ones available.

POP is too top heavy, too many hurdles to jump, and best of all, who warranties the engine? Who proves the fuel was from POP or was home brewed for warranty purposes? How many conversions would they have to do before they make a profit? And how much is the wvo going to cost the consumer?

It ain't happening.

The article was meant for POP to drum up business, or they're DONE!
