Default It was a good run

While it lasted.Thankfully the veggiestroke (V-1) can still be used. Since I've moved to Utah, I've been able to find small amounts of oil from the smaller convenient stores. But almost a few months into it, a renderer swipes my store. I can't get the managers to commit to a contract, call me or discuss anything, but when the renderer shows up in a uniform and tells the store manager they are setting a drum up and to sign a contract, they oblige. I just lost my last store that only netted me 5 gallons a month, tops???????
Last week I dropped by my other store I had lost to a guy who wouldn't pick the oil up for months, had oil stacked again ( about 50 cubies) and left my number for someone, anyone to contact me!!!!!!! Yesterday, the renderer got them, so we both lost out!!!!
So, I installed some block valves on the water line to the V-1 and have been running diesel through the V-1 system. Figured it's better keeping it working until I can find some grease, or just having the fuel capacity for long trips.

Sounds like its time to hit up the thrift shop and get a uniform, have a barrel ready in the truck and go get you a new account.

Really am sorry to hear, are the renderers paying these shops for the oil?

Default where in Utah?

The renderer Cache Valley Byproducts comes out of Ogden area all through Western WY.

Again I am successful only because of 2 things....my restaurant background and some areas by me have bear mitigation concerns.

Might have to tip over a few barrels, convince them back in cubes with more frequent pick ups serves them best

Just wanted to give you guys an update. About the time i was ready to bow out, I met an older guy who ran his diesel on blended oil. I bought his 500 plus gallons of wvo( already filtered) and 200 gallons of diesel, 2 tote bins and his filtering process he used( on a cart with two pumps). I paid $700 for everything. Then a few weeks after that i was able to locate a couple of convenient stores that fry food. So I'm collecting another 80 gallons a month. not much, but enough to keep me going. I put some valves in my system to allow me to run diesel out of my 60 gallon tank for when i get enough Kroger points to buy diesel cheaper than using the oil i bought form the old man. So I'm still in the game.
And by the way, next week, I'll be hitting 550,000 miles on my truck, which means I've burned about 317,000 miles of grease on my truck.

Glad to hear! You know once you get an account or two they start falling right into your lap. Hopefully the low oil prices help you get some more accounts!

I've heard it's easier to give up heroin than to go cold turkey on WVO.

You are in the top 3 as far as I know for most VO miles in one vehicle. I'd hate to see that record-setting streak come to an end!!

Bad plan. Nobody has successfully burned WMO for any length of time without problems. At least not in high concentrations.

Agreed but most of what I have seen/read about was people blending not running a 2 tank system.

If I had a high mileage truck(which I do) and couldn't get any WVO I would definitely give a 2 tank WMO a try. When trucks gets that old with that many miles what have you got to loose. A perfect candidate IMO. 15 years ago most though WVO could not be run in high concentrations.
