Default Road Trip

I had a chance to get a good deal on a few pinballs in Houston. So i loaded up 2 55 gallon barrels of wvo and my shur flo 12 volt pump and a 14 foot landscape trailer and headed out. I flew a friend to vegas and picked him up on the way. We drove straight through and made the 1600 mile trip from New Harmony, Utah to Clear Lake, Texas in 26 hours. We pulled over at the Love's truck stops to refuel with wvo and David would make us our meals( mostly sandwiches). I burned 150 gallons of wvo getting there and had to change 1 filter.
I went to a friend's house the next day and refilled my truck and filled my 2 55 gallon drums. the next day we loaded my trailer with 11 pinballs and 1 Juke box( that was in parts). We headed out and repeated the process. We got back to Utah in about 26 hours and 1620 miles and burned 120 gallons of wvo.
Also on the trip back home my truck rolled 555,555 miles and what was really weird was the trip meter was at 556.5 miles( actually the trip was 1556) it was odd with all the 5"s!!!!!
The only incident on the trip was when we were filling up the truck with wvo in Amarillo, the wind was blowing and I got oil all over the cabinet of the juke and i ran the truck tank over. So, all in all, it was an awesome trip in a really incredible truck.

Great trip!!!

The last straight-through trip I did like that was hauling Mike's truck from NJ to Lead Hill, AR and back a few years ago. 20hrs each way - 2500mi round trip... But, since we met in person the day I picked him and his truck up - we had plenty to talk about and time flew by!! I think I slept for 3 days when we got back.

I don't remember the fuel stats, but we ended up burning D2 for the last 100mi of the trip because one of the guys we were s'posed to get oil from is old had to go to bed a few minutes before we got there... So we ran a little short of doing the whole trip on WVO.

Also, Mike's truck was 100% stock before the trip. Now he's making over 500HP and has a SSJ veggie conversion. And, his wife blames ME for all of that!!!!

I just got back from spring break a week ago. 1100 miles Solo drive each way from Indiana to Venice, FL. Stopped over night half-way on the way down, but managed to drive straight through on the way home. Took about 16 hours and only stopped twice. Burned 130 gallons of Veg for the trip.
