Ive had bad luck with their "Tough One" parts.

My 250 is on its 2nd alternator AND 2nd starter.

I pretty much stopped buying parts from Advanced. Too many problems.
The only time I do it is in an emergency, and even then I try to find an Orileys, even if its farther. Orileys is open later, too.

Orileys parts probably arent much better... the front hub on my 250 lasted about 15k. They do sell motorcraft parts.. but I can get those for cheaper directly from Ford.

I know this is expensive, but I bought the NAPA Lifetime Warranty Starter. Faster turnover, and NAPA dealers should be all over the place over there.

Expensive, but I think worth it for all of us that plan to keep our trucks for long time.

I've had to replace one for a solenoid intermittent start. I think it lasted for over a year.

Any parts I need, I buy lifetime Warranty. Including brake parts.

Yes I should have spent the money for a quality starter if for no other reason, it was a bit of a bitch to change. I would NOT have wanted to do that laying on the ground. It was hard enough on the lift.

The NAPA starter also has a free towing policy if it fails.

Maybe... I don't know how it works, but I have installed a couple for customers and gave them the paperwork to fill out.
