Default Idaho

Ok getting settled in in the new place and am ready to start setting up my filtering process again. Thinking of a 55 gallon barrel with a prefilter screen then pumping that to a tote that is double stacked. Dirty on top clean on bottom. Center the Centrifuge In the middle and keep my pipe bomb heater with thermostat. Then from clean tote it can be pumped to the truck. Was think about some how making a air pressure rig to keep say 4# pressure to the CF so when the height of the dirty tote falls the pressure doesnít change. Just an idea. Because if you didnít the last 100 gallons would take days if you didnít adjust your throttle valve.

Other wise the real reason for the post is Who is in Idaho? Anyone near Idaho Falls? Yes I have looked at the map. This whole starting over agin and having to find new sources sucks. Only good thing is getting to try new places and meet the owners of all these mom and pop shops.

Hope all is well in everyone elseís realm.

Default craigslist searching

glad to hear your all settled in bud. I would honestly just post a wanted add on craigslist and see what you get. I might now be getting orders here in WA, but pending I do still go to Charleston I've already gotten some hits from people to get oil from them. other option that has worked out for me is just ask around at resturaunts, little gas station chicken places, etc. hope it all works out man. too bad you aren't still up here, ive got more oil now than I know what to do with.

all the sources I have now found me on facebook. I set up a community page and that was pretty much it. Zero cold calls on my part. I find facebook pretty much useless for anything else.

It is a nice place out here. Sucks that my work is 60 miles outside of town but the location is not bad.

There is quite a few food trucks here. I talked to one Mexican one and they said they throw out there oil. I was shocked and didn't know how to respond. They throw it out in the garbage. Was like uhhhhhhh. well here is my number and I will collect it from you. I am still waiting on a phone call from them. during a Home Show here I talked to a few trailers, one whos home is 2 hours away said he has plenty and I just need to drive out there to get it.

Well I need to setup my filtration at home. Still need to source some more things yet.

First Craigslist score of ~150 gallons from a Bar whos fryer got shut down. Changed out a cube twice a week. Even got one cube that was brand new.

Second score is coming from Twin Falls. 67 Year old man who collected. Has 7 barrels of oil. He said it has been sitting in barrels for a few years. Kinda nervous about driving for two hours and get there and have it all be bad oil. Will have to give it the old Snif test. This will have to be loading a ful tote in the back of the truck and heading back home two hours on the highway. Will be a lot of weight in the back.

Getting back into it. Also wife said I should seal the floor of the garage prior to starting my setup again. So looking into a nice poly seal for the garage now. Awesome!!!

If you want to go full tilt, look at using an aircraft hanger paint. I've had two totes and a full 50 gallon WVO tank driving 500 miles. Of coarse this was with 19.5 commercial tires and airbags

Getting the setup built right now. Going with stacked totes similar to Bruce Malchuck ( messed up your name). Two pallets are between them. Need to build the stand for the CF and heater and hope to be running oil this weekend. Plan on doing 240 to the motor 120 to the heater.

Up and running right now. Currently filtering 275 gallons. Think I will stop at 100 gallons filtered and clean it out. See how it is doing.

First spill already occurred. Didnít verify thermostat set point prior to turning on. Well hot oil backed out the bottom and burst a hole in the braided tygon to which sprayed into the wifeís 2016 Platnium. (Washed off right away with pressure washer).

Posted pic on a Facebook. Gave up on posting pics here. (Lazy)
