I have not tracked closely but I'm pretty sure I'm on my 3rd BFT pump (betweeen 2 vehicles). The current pump probabaly has less then 40,000 on it. I'll see if I can figure that out. Sorry I'm not much help.

Default Just curious

Just wondering what life others pumps are I am on my third Scorpion myself about 50k on each I would guess. My other truck uses pumps faster but still havenít changed fuel system as I can change a pump in about 15-30 minutes and they are cheap or free. Az dave likes the Wvo designs pumps and I think they make a block off plate for scorpions and setup. My last Scorpion was just a motor replacement and pump rebuild which was pretty easy and about $200. The Wvo world seems to be an extra system in the vehicle that already needs maintenance and itís especially hard on pumps.

I still believe in the WVO Designs pump as the Best Option on the market. With 5 year warranty and all parts avail thru WVO Designs. I made my own block off plate with a little larger oring because I thought the WVO block off plate places the o-ring right on the edge of the hole in the V3-4.

I do not offer the Super Duty pump option as I do my own customer service and I do not want call from people on side of road with pump problems just to save a few hundred dollars on a 20 thousand dollar or more truck.

This is one of the only areas that I differ from Jasons opinion. I do not like veggie inside of a pump that the brushes are lubed and cooled by the fuel it pumps like Super Duty pumps do. Bosch or cheap ones still have the brushed and armature in fuel. AzDave.

Is the block off plate meant to plumb a stock d2 pump to the V3 / 4 manifold?

Default Spare pump

I run a poorly designed fuel system in one truck using stock fuel pump and I always carry a spare and tools to fix pump. I wouldnít recommend it unless you are prepared to change filter at the worst possible times on the side of the road. System has other issues but for the time being I use it as a back up for when my truck with v3 is getting repairs...

So the block off plate deletes the regular v3/v4 fuel pump completely. Then you take a different pump of whatever company you choose and plumb it after the tank but before the v3/v4 manifold. I am retiring from usmc in 10 months and plan to travel a lot more and my 2 fass v3 pumps have lasted 40k miles when i replaced them. I went with the block off option because if my pump goes bad now I can put a cheap 25$ oem style pump in the wvo pumps place and still drive while my fass is getting fixed for free.

I think Jason get's 100k+ running WVO on his SD pumps. His claim to fame is that they are available at almost any parts store and cheap.

My V3 system is due for a complete overhaul. Is anybody taking these in and refurbishing them? Possibly with the pump delete?
