You are a veggie rockstar! Keep up the good work.

Its worth mentioning this truck is ALL ORIGINAL. There have only been a few parts replaced - right?

All original.
reman injectors at 388,000 miles.
3 sets of batteries, 3 alternators, 3 sets of brake pads, 3 water pumps and we are on the second set of shocks, second set of rotors and second starter. Have replaced the positive cable system and the stock radio.
Still running the V1 on it with a rebuilt but original Fass pump.
Yeah, I drive like an old lady, lol......
but the savings in doing so have allowed me to spend money foolishly in other hobbies!!!

Just rolled past the 480,000 mark.
Since the last post, I replaced the negative cables, replaced batteries again( didn't even get 2 years from Auto Crap) but they were still warrantied, and 2 weeks ago had the transmission rebuilt ( was at 478,000 ) when I had that done.
Also right after the transmission rebuild the controller to my V1 system had a couple of wires melt down. Luckily I had an extra controller, replaced that( which was a bitch) cuz right after the transmission rebuild I broke my wrist again. So it was extremely hard fishing wiring through the dash and putting it back together( plus I didn't know my wrist was broke at the time).
Anyway, next milestone, 483,000 miles: which is the 250,000 mile mark on running my truck on grease.

Yesterday I rolled past the 483,000 mile mark.
That means since I converted the truck back in 2006 at 233,000 miles I have burned 250,000 miles on grease. I still have the V1 set up which has had the pump replaced with a Fass in the beginning, rebuilt the motor on the Fass three years ago, have a spare heat exchanger I swap out every two years cuz they build up cholesterol, and back in Sept replaced the controller ( wire meltdown) with the spare I had. Have also replaced one purge valve( thanks Clay) and one pressure switch. all the hoses have been changed out over the past few years( just reran new heater hoses a few weeks ago, and relocated the passenger side check valve closer to the fuel bowl last year.
Other than that, I would say the system has been like anything else on my truck, things need preventive maintenance and changing out every couple of 100,000 miles.
Thanks always to Jason Crawford, Jason Pandolph, Clay Henry for the kit, the advice and always being available when I've had issues.
You 3 amigos rock!!!!

250k on grease is awesome! Thats around 17,000 gallons of WVO! And if you used an average fuel cost savings of $3.25, its $55,000 dollars...

Yesterday I rolled past the 488,000 mile mark. The significance of this was 3 years ago in November, Jason P came down and taught me how to change out the injectors on my truck. I had 388,000 miles on my originals and had lost the number 1 injector. I got the injectors from Riff Raff and we installed them over a 2 day period. What Jason discovered was that my purge valve had gummed up and wasn't purging the system on shutdown like it should. The injectors were gummed up and several injectors looked like they had tip damage. So anytime I see white smoke or smell veggie from the exhaust at start up, I get a jug out, pull the hose on the purge valve and check to see if the purge valve is flowing. I recommend a purge valve check like this periodically.
So anyway, "they " said it would ruin my engine, "they" said I was an idiot for even considering converting my truck, "they" said it was all b.s.......
"They" never think outside the box.
Happy trails!!!!
