Are you talking about the green kidney gasket? I have spares if you need one. I got some from AzDave.

Did you take the motor off and try to stop the gears from turning? You shouldn't be able to.

pm me your address for the green kidney gasket.

I have the timer cards so I don't know anything about them.

Default New pump

When I put a scorpion pump on for the first time the pump was assembled so tight That It would not spin. I basically just had to loosen the bolts securing the pump To the motor and then it worked. Maybe just maybe if you get lucky this could be your problem ?

I've tried loosening the SSB mounting bolts so they don't bind the motor, but didn't work.

Update....pulled the updated V3 Scorpion Pump that I installed. Disassembled and put old weak pump back on; idea was to test to see if the old pump would operate as it did before and turn green for little while then turn off , thus confirming that both pumps weak.

It worked, green light came on for 5-8 minutes then off.

leave the original weak pump in but bypass the v3 system power supply and put power directly to pump however you can and see if it lasts longer then 5-8 minutes.

I donít need the bypass because either pump I use is on and pumping, just not building enough pressure.

Wondering if gears could be bad and cause the pump not to build sufficient pressure.

Also tried bench test using truck battery and putting pressure against gears using plate as suggested earlier. That had no affect and both pumps appear strong when running like that.

Both pumps are good. I have to reread this thread and see what we're missing. I'm sure others will chime in.

I meant bypass power while mounted on truck. If both your pumps are doing the exact same thing and not building pressure then ots not the pumps. You may have some blockage in there

Well I did do your test; separate power but still not enough pressure to turn green.

However, I did these three thing and now Iím green. Can anyone tell me which one or combination of these made it happen.

1. Put a spare pair of different scorpion gears in
2. Reset PR to 2.5 full turns
3. Shimmied up my manifold to be level. It was leaning bad

Note: while Iím turning green, itís weird how only the K and H come up fast but the rest then a while later come up to caps all at the same time then Ďbammí Greení.

#2 most likely, next would be #3. I have changed gears because they started to bind. I never had pressure problems with them.

Glad you're up and running. Still need to go drop those things off at the P.O.

Thanks for all the help.

I think itís the gears. I think Iíll pull the pump and put the old gears back to see if Iím right.
