Default Texas to Florida in November (Thanksgiving)

Got Grease? Going to visit family in Florida this Thanksgiving and would like to shore up a source so I can fit it into the scheduling. I'll have a full load when I leave Texas so Florida is where I could use help. Will be coming across I-10 and down 75 to the Winter Gardens area on the 21st of November. Traveling to Cocoa on the 23rd and then heading back to Texas on the 24th.

I will have about 120 gal capacity so anything will help. Let me know if you can help me out or know of someone in the area that sells clean oil.

I got some nice oil from a 'blender' with an Excursion in Deltona, FL in the beginning of the summer. I'll touch base with him and see if he can help. A couple people I know have bought oil from a guy in the FL panhandle - lemme see if I can find that dude's number too!

Still looking. Could really use a shot of oil somewhere in Florida. Ideally anywhere along I-10 in the panhandle or 75 south into the Orlando area.

Thanks!

If you were coming further south, I could hook you up but I'm not even close to your route.

Got back in last night from a 2,200 mile round trip and made it all on oil. Left with my diesel tank needle barely over the 1/2 full mark and now its just barely under 1/2. I did stop at one gas station.... for ice.

Thanks everyone for the offers but none worked out. Either too far out of the way, oil not clean, or no return calls. I ended up taking all my oil with me. Filled my tank (60 gal) and loaded 5 - 15 gallon containers in the bed of the truck. Actually the 15 gallon containers hold closer to 17 gallons when filled to the very top. I estimate I had approx 145 gallons when I left. Got home with 1/4 tank so my best guesstimate is it took me approx 130 gallons to travel the 2200 miles.

Tip for future travelers traveling the corridor between Gainsville and Tallahassee, FL. DO NOT do it when FSU and UF happen to have a football game on the same day.

I love my V3

Glad you got there and back. How do you transfer oil from your 15 gallon drums to your tank?

Back in 2008 i had bought a tuthill 1604 with visions I'd use it to collect oil. LOL I think I used it one time in my garage and it has sat in the corner ever since. I loaded it in a plastic tote along with an extra battery and pumped the containers into my tank. Worked great though I did get some strange looks when transfering oil at the rest stops.
