do you have a 7.3L? i put a v4 on my excursion in april and that giant ass filter is def a pain but it will fit with some wiggling. just angle it all the way up then bring it down into place. when you take it off and put it on there is like a smidge of space left before it hits the frame for the running boards.

depends. if you press the purge button does the fuel pressure drop? doesn't matter if in diesel or wvo it will still drop. If it does then your purge solenoid is fine and its your v3 manifold check valve.

Yes. The purge button works fine, drops from mid sixties to 20ish psi. Jay is looking into it. I should have an answer/solution soon. Thanks

Yep, 7.3. I ended up going with the smaller filter and am happy with it. Makes everything easier as far as changes and V4 maintenance.

It does sound like a faulty purge valve. Not completely closing. As it sounds like it opens fully when you hit the purge cycle manually.

I forgot to give the update. An internal plug was missing behind plug #8 on the side of the V4. Jay ran me through some trouble shooting that led to that. He sent the plug right away along with some other goodies. Everything is working great!
