Most of the stuff I find on craigslist looks like junk no one wants, or it's been sitting outside in sunlight for 2 years. Rarely find anything useful on CL unfortunately...

Rochester is still a hike for me, but almost worth it. Gotta get my V3 going again.

Came home from Thanksgiving visit with 32 cubies of oil in my trailer with just a few minutes on CL and my phone and about an hour of time in the truck and loading cubies. Met another friendly greaser who says he doesn't know of anyone else in the area greasing. Conclusion: Rochester is a gold mine. Now my brother-in-law is all excited about buying a truck and veggin' it.

You'd be trading 30 gallons burned round trip for 300 gallons of veg to burn as fuel for the next 4500 miles. Make an overnighter of it and take your girl to visit Niagra Falls. Sounds like a good trade-off to me. ...But then so did the last 200-gallon source I hooked you up with that was 2 hours closer to you - that you also didn't snag!!!!!

YEP
I HAVENT GIVEN UP
definitly learning curve
my check valves were bad
all along
I always smelled a little veg when I started my truck the next day
The last owner of the truck said its normal
I never felt that was right, but just trusted he was right

Too top it off, I have low compression across all 8 cylinders
not sure why that it is
I have a theory tho
giant injectors, stock turbo
= overfueling and washing down cylinder walls
but my oil level never increased
so not sure what it is
Frustrated!
