Heats up, but Gree light delays???

I've had my system for about 1.5 years. It has worked well about 1/3 of that time. I live in Anchorage, Alaska area so there are arctic challenges. When the system is working like it is suppose to, it heats up to temp and you will hear that first click (red light on ) a minute or so later depending on the temp and click-click Green light on.
Now, it heats up to temp, clicks (red light on) then maybe 10-15 more miles green light comes on. Funny thing is I don't think it clicks when it finally turns green. Now, if I stop, for 5-30 minutes and start it may take 10-20 minutes to turn on again (it use to trun on within 30 sec to a minute or two. The temp outside is 30-40 d's and last year at this time my system would come on in 2-3 minutes. It now takes 20-30 driving 65!. My T-state is high temp and only 6 months old. The temp gauge does its thing. Pressure Gauge is at 75-80. I clean the prescreen, check valve and Press Reg Valve weekly to make sure they don't get locked open or shut. Help....20 MPG makes is taking its toll.

Also, I have oil in my coolant. I have an idea that this might affect, but my system still seems to heat up ok. I had the injector cups replaced 1 year ago for this very reason. Anyone have any odeas on if this is a cracked block, seal, gasket, injector issue?

    Thanks T
